Market indicators as of 1 June 2026 reflected mixed trends, with crude oil correcting from recent highs, natural gas staging a recovery, and USD INR remaining close to its yearly low. Crude oil closed at 94.98, gaining 1.67% weekly from 93.42 but declining -12.19% monthly from 108.17 recorded on 1 May 2026. The currency pair was down -4.30% quarterly and -11.07% yearly compared with 85.52 on 1 June 2025. The rupee remained under pressure from elevated energy import costs and capital flow concerns, with USD INR trading -12.69% below its yearly high of 84.29 recorded on 5 May 2025 and just 1.90% away from its yearly low of 96.83 reached on 20 May 2026. Natural Gas climbed to 3.17, posting gains of 4.62% weekly, 14.03% monthly, and 10.45% quarterly, signaling a recovery from recent lows. However, natural gas remained -9.69% lower year-on-year compared with 3.51 on 1 June 2025. Prices traded 22.39% above the yearly low of 2.59 recorded on 14 April 2026, but were still -39.96% below the yearly high of 5.28 seen on 5 December 2025.
