Higher Domestic Prices Face Competition from Softer Global Markets

Polymer June 13, 2026

Domestic PP prices have been increased effective 13 June 2026, while global markets continue to show a softer trend and crude oil prices have eased following reduced geopolitical tensions. Key Highlights 📈 Domestic PP prices increased by ₹2,000/MT, while Fiber & TQ grades rose by ₹4,000/MT. 📉 Crude oil fell nearly 2%, reducing cost pressure on global polymer markets. 🌍 International PP - Homo Polymer offers to India are currently around USD 1,250–1,275/MT. 🚢 Landed import prices are estimated at ₹133–136/kg with duty and ₹123–126/kg if duty waiver continues. 💰 Import prices remain below current domestic PP levels, creating a favorable buying opportunity. 📦 Strong import bookings are being reported due to the price gap between domestic and imported material. Polymart View The recent domestic price increase appears to be driven more by short-term supply constraints than strong demand growth. With imports becoming increasingly attractive and global markets remaining soft, additional supply could enter the market in the coming weeks, potentially leading to price stabilization or a gradual correction during late July to early August 2026.Disclaimer:PolyMart does not offer guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the information provided on its platform.
