Government Extends Zero Import Duty on Polymers; RIL Defers PE & PVC Price Revision

The Government of India has extended the zero import duty on major polymers for another 15 days, with the exemption now remaining effective until 15 July 2026. The move ensures continued support for polymer imports and is expected to help maintain adequate material availability in the domestic market. On the domestic pricing front, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced no change in PVC prices. The company has also extended price protection for both PVC and PE by one additional day, with the revised prices now scheduled to be announced effective 2 July 2026. In the PET segment, prices have been increased by ₹1.50/kg, effective 1 July 2026. Global market indicators remained relatively stable. Brent crude oil was trading at USD 73.20 per barrel, while the Indian Rupee stood at ₹94.80 against the US Dollar.
