21 September 2026 | PolyMart Market Update

Domestic Polypropylene (PP) prices have been increased by ₹2,500/MT with effect from 21 September 2026, marking another significant revision in the domestic polymer market.

The price increase comes even as key global indicators moved lower. Brent Oil Futures closed at $101.63/bbl, down $2.24 or 2.16%, while USD/INR eased to 95.87, declining 0.21%.

The contrasting movement between domestic PP prices and softer crude and currency indicators highlights the continued volatility in the polymer market. Domestic polymer pricing can also be influenced by producer revisions, supply availability, inventories, import parity and prevailing demand conditions, meaning movements may not always track crude oil immediately.

PolyMart Perspective

The market remains in a volatile phase, with domestic price revisions occurring alongside changing global cues.

PolyMart suggests maintaining balanced inventory, closely monitoring crude oil, currency, import offers and domestic producer revisions, and planning procurement around near-term requirements rather than relying on a single market indicator.
