22 September 2026 | PolyMart Market Update

Global polymer markets continue to show softer signals. Brent crude is trading around $101.55/bbl, up 1.21%, sustaining near the $100 level after Monday’s sharp decline. Meanwhile, USD/INR remains largely stable at ₹95.84, up 0.01%.

China Futures Continue to Correct

China polymer futures remained under pressure on 21 September:

PP: $1,129/MT â–Ľ $22
LLDPE: $1,087/MT â–Ľ $17
PVC: $626/MT â–˛ $6

Since 17 September, PP has fallen $55/MT, LLDPE $44/MT and PVC $18/MT, indicating continued softness in China’s polymer futures market.

India PP Market

Domestic PP producers have increased prices, but the open market has largely absorbed the hike, with no substantial increase reflected in prevailing market prices so far.

PolyMart Perspective

With crude holding near $100, China futures remaining soft and domestic PP hikes seeing limited open-market impact, buyers may consider maintaining need-based procurement while closely monitoring market movements.
