China Polymer Futures & PP Import Offers Move Lower, While Crude Holds Above $102/bbl

China polymer futures and PP import offers coming to India have moved lower, indicating softer market sentiment, particularly across PP and LLDPE. At the same time, crude oil continues to remain above $102/bbl, keeping the broader cost outlook uncertain.

Despite the decline, crude remains at an elevated level, meaning feedstock and energy costs continue to be an important factor for polymer markets.

China Polymer Futures | 1-Week Movement

China futures weakened between 16 September and 23 September:

  • PP: 1,184 → 1,100 | â–Ľ 84
  • LLDPE: 1,131 → 1,060 | â–Ľ 71
  • PVC: 644 → 630 | â–Ľ 14

PP recorded the largest decline among the three, followed by LLDPE. On 23 September, PP and LLDPE futures weakened further, while PVC moved marginally higher.

PP Grades

  • PP Film: $1,390 | â–Ľ $20
  • PP Raffia: $1,310 | â–Ľ $20
  • PP Injection: $1,310 | â–Ľ $20
  • PP CP: $1,360 | â–Ľ $20
  • BOPP: $1,330 | â–Ľ $20

All listed PP offers declined by $20/MT, adding to the softer signals coming from China.

PE Grades

  • HM: $1,270 | NC
  • HDPE Injection: $1,260 | NC
  • HDPE Raffia: $1,270 | NC
  • HDPE Blow: $1,265 | NC
  • LLDPE: $1,210 | NC

Unlike PP, the listed PE import offers remained unchanged.
